In-person, online, and walk and talk in Austin and the rest of Texas.

Why would I do in-person?

Online therapy is more accessible than ever before, allowing more people to get the help they need. So why should I drive to your office?

That’s a great question! I find that I love in-person sessions for a lot of reasons we might miss online. There’s a different energy, a different sense of connection that happens when I can sit across from you. I’m able to get a better feel for who you are and what you need out of therapy.

The act of getting out of your house and intentionally driving to my office with a moment to ask yourself, “What would I like to talk about in therapy this week?” can sometimes make all of the difference. I want to get you out of your comfort zone, out of your typical routine. That’s the goal of therapy right? To promote growth and change? Maybe that starts with coming to my office in person! Some clients actually refuse to see me online, which I find a little funny, but they enjoy the routine and the connection so much more in person. Sometimes the safest space for hard conversations is a neutral space outside of your home.

If in-person is simply not possible, online offers the same opportunity for reflection, growth, and connection. I see many clients online due to scheduling conflicts or necessity. As long as you’re in a safe and confidential space, we’ll be able to do great work together.

Whatever works for you is the right option!

Walk and talk

Staring at your computer or sitting in an office sound unappealing? That’s why I offer walk and talk therapy. Trade in the office for a walk in a park! Therapists often talk about the importance of movement and exercise in our lives, and they’re right, so why not use our hour together moving? Walking offers the chance to feel less pressure to share as we walk side by side, a much more comfortable way to connect. It allows your body to remember we’re not stuck as we constantly move forward, through our emotions, together.

Walking therapy offers more connection between the mind and body, but it also offers some challenges. Weather, timing, and confidentiality. My availability for walk and talk is limited due to the nature of it and working with the rest of my schedule.

If you have any questions about this option, please reach out and ask!
